Ismail Merchant passed away today at only 68 (my, that's younger that I thought he was). You certainly have to be in the right mood to enjoy a merchant ivory film but you don't have to be in the right mood to acknowledge the team was very productive, especially when you consider how long it takes to get into all that fancy dress.
