what a day to be driving by louis-ville

Soooo....
A heart felt pha-q to Northwest Airlines which officially sucks in my book at this point. The problem, as near as I can figure is that they cannot properly handle cancelled flights from other carriers which they colist on their boards. at least in memphis. After cancelling the flight and not making that information public for 1.75 hours they informed me that I was going to have to stay in memphis at my own expense for 14 hrs and that there was NO WAY I could get closer to cincy. well, my solution to the problem was simple - rent a car and drive - all 8 hrs. when it finally dawned on me that driving 8 hrs starting at 8:30 was a bad idea I called and asked if there were earlier flights leaving from nashville (3 hrs away) - yes there were, but NWA was not willing to fly me from there because my ticket was from memphis - well, excuse me assholes but I paid to get to cincinatti, it was you that suggested flying through memphis.

In the end I spent two hours on the phone with NWA assuring them that just because I missed my flight in memphis I would not be missing my flight home. end result - I drove 8 hours paid for gas and the rental car and northwest got to sell my memphis-cincy flight twice (no refund of course) - so when NWA goes bankrupt and it's employees are all hoping my tax dollars will cover their pension my sincere hope is that I keep my tax dollars and they all starve to death.

None of that crappy experience kept me from having a great time in Nashville for 2 hrs hangin' with willy T, rockin' with Jason and Mercedes, Bill and Beth, Fluffy and his girlie, seein' Schlarb, the Singer boys, hangin' with my folks and Joan and Paikey, plus seeing Nina and her new baby Isabela. Lest I neglect to mention: Luke and Jen had a grand wedding, though surprisingly overly religious. good to see lee and betty too.

I did managed to hang with a great group of people growing up. I feel very fortunate for that.
